Reading Week has finally arrived!
It's sure nice to have some free time on my hands
The past few weeks have been nuts (as usual.)
This weekend, The Boyfriend and I slept in late (our favourite hobby),
did a few household errands,
And went thrifting at a few local vintage and second hand stores.
I never realized how much effort goes into keeping a household clean and tidy;
Now, I'm starting to understand why my mother was constantly distressed about cleaning up messes.
They always seem to keep creeping on back!
I'm pretty lucky, thought, to have an awesome boyfriend,
That helps out with the chores, laundry and cooking.
I'm glad our relationship functions on teamwork, and doesn't feel like... just work.
On another note, I'm officially ready for winter to end.
I want spring and warmth to return, and for the snow to melt.
It just isn't cute anymore.
Plus, I've come down with a serious case of senior-itis.
I am so ready to hangup my laptop bag and be done with school forever,
To jump on my model prospects and get back into the fashion industry full-time.
Of course, I'm trying to live in the moment,
Spend as much time with my friends as possible,
And enjoy my last semester of undergrad.
Sometimes, I just need to remind myself to live in the moment,
Not stress about being uber-productive,
And have fun.
Remember, you'll never been younger than you are today.
Although it's important to have long-term goals and endeavors (I know I sure do!),
Don't take life too seriously.
Remind yourself to stop and smell the roses,
Live, Love and Laugh (a cliche, I know, but so true)
And Breathe.

The "fashion weeks" season finally is here! Unfortunately, I don't have enough time (or resources) on my hands to post about them all, but I've been religiously following it all online and you should too! New York Fashion Week just ended - Helmut Lang, Carolina Herrera and Thom Browne were a few of my favourite collections, just to name a few. And Prabal Gurung! And Cushnie et Ochs! The list goes on and on, but I guess that's how one knows she's a true fashionista - just like children, you can't pick favourites when it comes to collections. London Fashion Week is currently in full swing (and I'm looking forward to the McQueen show, later on today) - next up: Milan Fashion Week. Eek!
Just a note to all budding fashionistas our there, style.com and vogue.co.uk are great sites for keeping on top of the shows. Style.com has great reviews and video profiles of the collections, and vogue.co.uk is very user-friendly. I also obsessively check twitter (I follow a lot of designers and style sites) and google collections periodically.
Vogue's The Best of New York Fashion Week. Beautiful moments captured during NYFW. Simply gorg.
Kudos to Sara Ziff and many other top models, for starting Model Alliance, a non-profit organization that works within the fashion industry to encourage safer and healthier standards for working models.
See, The Ladies Like Pin-Up Too. I can totally vouch for this - I absolutely adore pinups.
